Our mission as a church is leading all people to follow Jesus to the fullness of life, together.
This means The Bridge exists to lead people beyond a life of busyness and “I'm fine” to a rich, vibrant, eternal life with Jesus. We do that by copying the habits of Jesus, because it was Jesus himself that said “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you” (John 20:21).
We have five primary ways in which love moves through us to the world.
Habit #1: BLESS
To move towards someone who does not know Jesus through a tangible act of love.
Eph. 2:10 - For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Habit #2: EAT
To intentionally share a meal, drink or snack with someone who does not know Jesus so that you become closer.
1 Thess. 2:8b - Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.
Habit #3: PRAY
Bring one person before God - who does not know him - asking that he would change them.
Eph 6:12 - For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Habit #4: Speak
Speak words of life.
2 Cor. 5:20 - We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.
Habit # 5: Go Together
Love moves through a community that follows Jesus together. John 13:34-35 - A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
