Topic: Light, Life & Love: A Journey through the Gospel of John Passage: John 2:1–12, John 10:10

Definition of Shame

An emotion someone experiences when they feel that something in them is fundamentally flawed.

- Mark Yarhouse.

What Jesus Didn’t Do:

Jesus could have shown immense sympathy to the host.

Jesus could have stood up and taught on judging others, ‘judge not, lest you be judged.’

What did Jesus do?

Jesus brought the better wine …

shifting shame to honor.

God doesn’t want his love to just move to you, but through you.

  And as he does that,

  he grows you.
